ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR THE YEAR 2011-2012
Requirements for Admissions:
MISB invites applications from students of all nationalities and students may be admitted at any time of the year provided the student meets our academic requirements and there is space available. Students applying to Nursery must be 3 years old by August 1st of the enrollment year.
Application Procedure:
To apply at MISB,
   1. Complete the registration form
   2. Attach 4 passport size photographs of the student
   3. Copy of child’s birth certificate
   4. Copy of child’s passport and visa, identity card or House registration
   5. Copy of Previous school certificates or records
   6. Medical Certificate
   7. Route to Residence (MAP)
   8. Fee of 3,000 payable to the Finance office
Interview and Placement Test
   The School will hold an interview and a placement test after reviewing the registration form and the documents. The
   Placement test results shall be informed to the parents from the admission office within 2 working days.
School Term:
The School year is comprised of 3 Terms and one summer.

*First Term: August to December

* Second Term: January to Beginning of April

*Third Term: Mid April to Mid June
School Hours:
MISB starts at 7:40 a.m. and finishes at 2:30 p.m. All students are expected to arrive at School by 7:30 a.m. to be ready for the morning assembly. During the afternoon the School Vans would leave the campus by 2:45 p.m.
Summer School:
New students joining MISB are recommended to attend a 4-week Summer School program in the month of July.
Dress Code:
The MISB dress code includes sets of School uniform and Sports Uniform. All students are required to wear these uniforms on required day . All students should be neatly and appropriately dressed at all time during the day.

School uniforms

Boys will wear the prescribed shirt and trousers. The school will provide the material which needs to be stitched according to the pattern given. The shirt must be properly buttoned and tucked in.

Girls will wear the prescribed blouse and skirt. The school will provide the material which needs to be stitched according to the pattern given. The blouse must be properly buttoned. Skirt hemlines should reach at least the knee.

Shoes should be black leather shoes (no sandals, slippers or platform shoes) and worn with white socks. White Sports shoes and white socks are required for P.E. day.

Uniform can be purchased from the MISB bookstore from Monday-Friday, 7:30-4:00 and Saturdays from 9:00-12:00.
English as a Second Language (ESL) Fee:
An additional ESL Class is available for students who require ESL support. The fee is non-refundable.
Language:
An additional language fee will be charged to students. The fee is non-refundable.
Food/Snacks:
The Food and Snacks is optional. Our School provides only Vegetarian Food which is highly nutritious for the growing mind. Students paying for snacks would be given a morning snack and afternoon milk.
Transportation:
The school transportation service between home and school is optional but highly recommended. The transportation charges are pro-rated based on the distance between home and school.
Textbooks:
Textbooks can be purchased from the MISB bookstore from Monday-Friday, 7:30-4:00 and Saturdays from 9:00-12:00. Textbooks for academic year can be purchased in the month of July and only after the tuition fees has been paid. (CASH ONLY)
Insurance:
All MISB students are covered with School’s Accident Insurance plan, which will cover up to 40,000 Baht per case for medical expenses. All additional expenses incurred will have to be borne by the parents
